After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Paul VI finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the St. Mary's Ryken Knights by a score of 3-2. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Natalie Monroe was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Paul VI's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for St. Mary's Ryken, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
