Recap: San Marcos vs. Steele
The San Marcos Rattlers fell victim to the Steele Knights's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They suffered a tough 4-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. While losing is never fun, San Marcos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while Steele is ranked 67th).
San Marcos' loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Steele, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1.
San Marcos will be playing in front of their home fans against Judson at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. San Marcos is coming into the match with three straight losses at home, meaning Judson will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Steele, they will head out on the road to challenge East Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. East Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
