If Fresno wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Madera South, they should've done a better job of containing Isabella Zaragosa. The Stallions walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warriors on Thursday for which the team can thank Zaragosa, who had 32 digs, 20 kills, and five aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 22 times she's played.

While Madera South might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Fresno scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-21, 24-26, 25-23, 25-19.

Madera South's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Liyah Chavira led the charge by getting 20 digs and six aces. What's more, Chavira posted two kills, the most she's had over her last four contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Monica Placido, who had 24 digs and one assist.
