Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alex Zimmer and Teagan James Lead Vienna to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Owensville, Vienna was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Calvary Lutheran Lions 69-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted since January 13th.

Leading Vienna to victory were Teagan James and Alex Zimmer. James went 7 of 16 on his way to 19 points along with eight assists and five boards, while Zimmer went 8 for 12 to rack up 18 points and five rebounds. Those eight assists gave James a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Long, who posted nine points.

Vienna now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Calvary Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Vienna didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-45 defeat against Newburg on the 7th. Calvary Lutheran has also already played their next game (against Missouri Military Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
