Baseball Game Preview: Wenonah Dragons vs. Sipsey Valley Bears

The Wenonah Dragons will face off against the Sipsey Valley Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sipsey Valley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Wenonah, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Wenonah turned things around against Woodlawn on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Colonels 7-6.

Amari Matthews was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those seven stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Spencer, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Sipsey Valley came up short against New Hope on Saturday and fell 7-4. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wenonah's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Sipsey Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-19.
