O'Fallon faced Mascoutah in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Indians a 5-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 back in April.

Trey Hrasky looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, O'Fallon's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Blue, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles Blue has posted since back in April.

The victory made it two in a row for O'Fallon and bumps their season record up to 23-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Mascoutah, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-8.

O'Fallon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mascoutah, they will challenge Freeburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
