Chillicothe waltzed into their matchup on Monday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Benton Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 16-25, 25-20, 25-12.

Lyla Beetsma paced Chillicothe's offense, picking up 31 kills. Beetsma got some help from Carman Woodworth and her 49 assists. Woodworth also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Clara Fisher, each putting up two.

Despite the loss, Benton still got an impressive performance from Hadleigh Grubb, who had 13 digs and three aces.

Chillicothe's victory bumped their record up to 28-4. As for Benton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-18-2.

Chillicothe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Benton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Maryville on the 21st.
