Volleyball Recap: Douglass Bulldogs vs. Cheney Cardinals

Douglass extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 6-9. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cheney Cardinals. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Gentry Bergsten paced Douglass' offense, picking up seven kills. Bergsten got some help from Madison Waggoner and her 12 assists. Bergsten was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Douglass has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Belle Plaine on the 23rd. As for Cheney, they will be taking part in a tournament against Collegiate at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
