Soccer Game Preview: Sacred Heart-Griffin vs. Rochester

The Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones will take on the Rochester Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Sacred Heart-Griffin sitting on three straight victories and Rochester on four.

Sacred Heart-Griffin's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Springfield Southeast with a sharp 8-0 win. It was an even better day for Caroline Sheehan as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Rochester beat Normal West 3-1 on Monday. Myra Gibson had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Rochester got from the refs.

Rochester pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three contests. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
