Baseball Recap: Clarkrange Comes Up Short

Clarkrange was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the Van Buren County Eagles. The Buffaloes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Clarkrange saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macon Thompson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Thompson brought in this season.

Clarkrange's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Van Buren County, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Clarkrange will head out to challenge Oakdale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Van Buren County, they will welcome Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something Van Buren County will no doubt try to take advantage of.
