Football Recap: New Haven Takes a Loss

New Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Madison Eagles 44-8. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-0.

Despite the loss, New Haven still got an impressive performance from Darrien Wilmer, who rushed for 68 yards and one TD. Wilmer showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 63 yards.

New Haven didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Connor Abuan and Jeremiah Koshay.

New Haven's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Madison, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
