Football Game Recap: Mount St. Mary vs. Blackwell

Blackwell's seven-game streak of losses has finally come to an end. They got past Mount St. Mary with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 19-14.

Senior Tanner Goodenough, who rushed for 155 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in Blackwell's success. The Blackwell defense stepped up as well to lay out the quarterback six times.

Finally capturing their first win of the season, Blackwell advanced to 1-7. Mount St. Mary are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Blackwell will take on Heritage Hall at home at 7:00 PM next week. Heritage Hall are cruising in on a seven-game winning streak. As for Mount St. Mary, they will face off against Kingfisher. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
