Soccer Recap: Joliet Catholic Takes a Loss

Joliet Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Coal City Coalers. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Joliet Catholic couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Lindsey Blabas, who's now up to two this season.

Joliet Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Coal City, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1.

Coming up, Joliet Catholic will face off against Carmel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Coal City, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Reed-Custer on the 1st.
