Basketball Recap: Out-of-Door Academy Gets the Win

Out-of-Door Academy's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 64-60 W over Gulf Coast HEAT. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-57 back in December of 2024.

Several Gulf Coast HEAT players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cayden Bosso, who went 9 of 21 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Steven Scott, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Out-of-Door Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Out-of-Door Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evangelical Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, they will venture away from home to square off against Foundation Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
