Softball Recap: Heritage Mountaineers vs. Carter Green Hornets
After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Heritage was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carter Green Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Heritage of the 10-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.
Elizabeth Hayes put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Hayes was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and a triple.
