Westerville Central is a perfect 5-0 against Big Walnut since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warhawks will challenge the Golden Eagles at 5:15 p.m. Westerville Central will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.

Westerville Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over New Albany on Monday. The Warhawks not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2024 (when they won 20-1).

Meanwhile, Big Walnut had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Cougars as they made off with an 11-3 win. Considering the Golden Eagles have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Grace Melton, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Thornhill, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Big Walnut was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .643. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Big Walnut's record is now 12-8. As for Westerville Central, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.

Westerville Central took their win against Big Walnut in their previous matchup back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 9-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warhawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
