Soccer Game Preview: Foothill vs. West

The Foothill Trojans will take on the West Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Foothill's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Friday, Foothill and Mira Monte finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Foothill's goal came courtesy of Angell Cortes, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, West was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They lost 4-0 to South. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1034th, while the Spartans are ranked 451st).

West's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-3. Foothill's draw gives them a new season record of 9-6-3.

Foothill took their win against West in their previous matchup on January 10th by a conclusive 4-0. Will Foothill repeat their success, or does West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
