Foothill has gone 9-1 against Basic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Wolves at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Foothill sitting on four straight victories and Basic on five.
Foothill is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 91-64 win over Silverado. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Clinton Ezugha continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 22 points and 12 boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Packer Kelley was another key player, shooting 67% from the field en route to 20 points.
Foothill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.
Meanwhile, Basic got the win against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon on Tuesday by a conclusive 74-50. The Wolves pushed the score to 60-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirate cut but never quite recovered from.
Basic's win came from a few key players that Foothill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Hudson Yakubik, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Combs, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 16 points along with seven boards and five steals.
Basic's record now sits at 9-13. As for Foothill, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Foothill has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Basic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.5 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Foothill beat Basic 65-57 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
