Volleyball Game Preview: Wayne Badgers vs. Monticello Buckaroo

Wayne is 1-8 against Monticello since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Badgers will square off against the Buckaroo at 10:30 a.m. Monticello took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Wayne, who comes in off a win.

Wayne picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top against Rowland Hall by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Badgers.

Meanwhile, Monticello came up short against Duchesne on Friday and fell 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Buckaroo in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.

Wayne beat Monticello 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Badgers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
