Basketball Recap: Hempstead Takes a Loss

Hempstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a blow against the Brazos Cougars, falling 79-37. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-37 back in January.

Hempstead's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Brazos, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-12.

Hempstead will take on Hitchcock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hitchcock's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups. As for Brazos, they will challenge East Bernard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
