Baseball Recap: Demetris Tsesmelis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dunedin over East Lake

Dunedin lost against East Lake back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Falcons wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Colton Beard was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Dunedin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Demetris Tsesmelis, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Dunedin has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for East Lake, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Dunedin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Lake, they will head out on the road to challenge Hollins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
