Basketball Recap: Deshler Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

If Blue Hill wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Deshler, they should've done a better job of containing Kaden Kleen. The Deshler Dragons took down the Blue Hill Bobcats 64-50 on Friday thanks to Kleen, who went 8-for-16 en route to 24 points and three steals. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Hutch Vacek, who posted nine points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.6% field goal percentage.

Deshler has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Blue Hill, they dropped their record down to 9-13 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deshler will venture away from home to take on Lawrence-Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Lawrence-Nelson sitting on three straight victories and Deshler on four. As for Blue Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Heartland Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
