Meanwhile, Rochester entered their tilt with Whitko on Monday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Zebras have posted since April 23rd.
Bria Rensberger spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brailyn Hunter, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Rochester's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Lewis Cass, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
