Covington Catholic barely beat Holy Cross the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Colonels never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Wednesday. The Colonels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Covington Catholic's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Holy Cross, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covington Catholic will head out to take on Newport Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Holy Cross, they will venture away from home to square off against Villa Madonna at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
