Basketball Game Preview: Seminole Warhawks vs. Gibbs Gladiators

The Seminole Warhawks will take on the Gibbs Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Seminole is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They secured a 53-48 W over Booker.

Meanwhile, Gibbs had already won 16 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.4 points) and they went ahead and made it 17 on Wednesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 92-39 victory over the Gators. The Gladiators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

Seminole better keep an eye on Bobby Crawford. He was instrumental in Gibbs' win, dropping a double-double with 27 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Crawford a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oneal Delancy, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 14 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Seminole is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points over those games. As for Gibbs, their win bumped their record up to 24-4.

Seminole barely slipped by Gibbs in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 57-56. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Gibbs' Jacob Daniels, who went 8-for-18 to rack up 25 points and three steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Seminole still be able to contain Daniels? There's only one way to find out.
