Cartersville strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Hillgrove Hawks by a score of 2-0. The Hurricanes were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Hawks, so the Hurricanes were just returning the favor.

Cartersville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hillgrove between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14.

Sydney Seigler was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and one assist. Those 11 digs gave her a new career-high.

Cartersville's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Hillgrove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Cartersville will take on Holy Innocents Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillgrove, they will head out to square off against Marietta at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
