Softball Recap: Plato Has No Trouble Against Gainesville

Plato won the last time they faced Gainesville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 7-1 win. Considering the Eagles have won 21 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Plato has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Gainesville, they moved to 15-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Plato will square off against Bernie at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mules will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Gainesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
