Baseball Game Preview: Gallatin County Wildcats vs. Western Hills Wolverines

The Gallatin County Wildcats will take on the Western Hills Wolverines at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gallatin County is looking for their season's first victory.

Gallatin County might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-1 to Butler County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

While Western Hills didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They won by a run and slipped past Glasgow 6-5. That's two games straight that the Wolverines have won by just one run.

Owen Woodson was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted over his last ten contests.

Western Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glasgow only posted a batting average of .286.

The win made it two in a row for Western Hills and bumps their season record up to 12-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Gallatin County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
