Football Game Preview: South Cobb Eagles vs. McEachern Indians + How To Watch

South Cobb hasn't had much luck against McEachern recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Indians at 7:30 p.m.

South Cobb made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pebblebrook, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 22-20 on Friday.

Despite their defeat, South Cobb saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Freedom Jones, who threw for 183 yards and one touchdown on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 40 yards and one score, was perhaps the best of all. The Eagles' leading receiver Ty'Lil Terrell was Jones' top target yet again, picking up 163 receiving yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, McEachern put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over Hillgrove. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

South Cobb better focus on containing Calvin Pittman Jr and Henry Pullen as the pair were huge in McEachern's win. Pittman Jr rushed for 103 yards and one score on only eight carries, while Pullen rushed for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 60 yards.

McEachern's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for South Cobb, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

South Cobb was taken down by McEachern 58-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Indians' Jayreon Campbell, who rushed for 141 yards and five TDs on only 13 carries.
