Marion-Franklin extended the longest winning streak in Columbus City - South this week by beating Africentric Early College, 73-20. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Independence took down Briggs 88-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Joe Alverson and Jhulyis Monroe gave Marion-Franklin a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Alverson threw for 108 yards and three touchdowns, while Monroe ran for 73 yards. Alverson also contributed to the rushing game with 61 yards on the ground.

Charles Holland was the best wideout in the league this week as West lost to Walnut Ridge. Holland racked up 11 receptions for 144 yards. Martine Biggers helped West's passing attack out by catching one ball for 39 yards.

The Scots' Marquez Toney and Rob Wheelwright have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Toney has thrown for 770 yards this season, while Wheelwright, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 27 catches for 497 yards. Vincent Rambo from the 76ers leads the league in rushing with 1007 yards.

A big matchup in Columbus City - South this week will be when Brian Haffele's team takes on the Cowboys. As it stands, the Red Devils are in first, while West is in third.

The Nubians made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,377 from 13,498. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 73-20 victory over Africentric Early College last week.
