Union Local had won seven straight home games and Dre Saunders did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Union Local Jets came out on top against the Martins Ferry Purple Riders by a score of 60-52 thanks in part to Saunders, who went 10-for-18 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Union Local has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. Martins Ferry has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.
