Volleyball Recap: Covenant Christian Falls to Gulf Pointe Latin in First Game of Season

Covenant Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

While Covenant Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Gulf Pointe Latin's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-12, 25-13.

Gulf Pointe Latin has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian will venture away from home to face off against East Hill Christian at 5:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Gulf Pointe Latin, they will square off against Pensacola Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
