Volleyball Recap: Botkins Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Botkins not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lima Senior Spartans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

One reason for the win was Botkins' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 28-8.

When it comes to explaining why Lima Senior lost, don't look at Alisandra Vanmeter. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and one assist. Aryiah Bowie also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Botkins' win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Lima Senior, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Botkins will host Fairlawn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lima Senior, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Marion Harding on the 22nd.
