Basketball Recap: Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles vs. Hilton Head Prep Dolphins
Make it six blowout wins for the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Hilton Head Prep 69-29 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hilton Head Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Hilton Head Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devon Yarde, who scored 21 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Yarde hasn't dropped below 20 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamya Hutchinson, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
When it comes to explaining why Hilton Head Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Courtney Campbell. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Campbell is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ava Zeoli, who scored two points along with three steals.
Hilton Head Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Hilton Head Prep, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
