Ryan had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Richland Royals 41-10. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won nine games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Ryan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quin Henigan led the charge by throwing for 227 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Henigan is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games he's played. Ryan also got a significant boost from Tre'Vaughn Reynolds, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 135 yards.

Ryan's run defense was locked in: Richland could only muster two yards per carry. The team can thank Jaxson Dozier for the heroic effort on defense: he. Ryan didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.1.

Ryan's defense also made the game a nightmare for Brett Kates, racking up seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Dominic Walker and Kha'Ron Freeman-Wade, who racked up four sacks between them. Ryan got some further help from Uzziah Warmate: he picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

The win (which was Ryan's eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.5 points on average over those games. As for Richland, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Ryan will be playing in front of their home fans against Aledo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Raiders 10.5, the Bearcats 6) so any points scored will be well earned. Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
