Meanwhile, Ripley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 51-44 to Buckhannon-Upshur.
Winfield dropped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Ripley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
