Volleyball Game Preview: Milpitas Trojans vs. Cupertino Pioneers

The Milpitas Trojans will square off against the Cupertino Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Milpitas will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Los Altos, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans blew past the Eagles 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-20.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cupertino had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win.

Cupertino was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-20, 25-20.

Cupertino's victory bumped their record up to 25-8. As for Milpitas, their win bumped their record up to 19-9.

Milpitas beat Cupertino 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
