Volleyball Recap: Justice Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Justice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hayfield Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The 3-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Justice lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 27-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Their offense was headlined by Michael Contreras and Ahmad Khaibar Noori, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Elias Romero Maceda and his 12 assists. He also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Daniel Pena Carrasco, each putting up two.

Justice's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hayfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Justice didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Mount Vernon on the 6th. As for Hayfield, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology on the 6th.
