Softball Game Preview: Lancaster Red Devils vs. Essex Trojans

Lancaster is 2-8 against Essex since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Lancaster's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Lancaster and Colonial Beach had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Drifters with a sharp 21-7 victory on Monday. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Essex suffered their closest loss since March 26th on Monday. They fell just short of Westmoreland by a score of 6-4. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Essex, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1.
