Basketball Recap: Loraine Comes Up Short

Loraine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Highland Hornets an easy 60-34 win. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-36 last Thursday.

Loraine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Highland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Loraine will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roby at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Highland and Pantego Christian will round out the year against one another at at 10:40 a.m. on Friday.
