Basketball Game Preview: Morrisville Bulldogs vs. Delaware County Christian Knights

Morrisville is 1-8 against Delaware County Christian since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Morrisville Bulldogs will host the Delaware County Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Morrisville against Martin Luther as the team secured a 70-23 victory. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Meanwhile, Delaware County Christian entered their tilt with Bristol on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 64-53. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Warriors are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Delaware County Christian's win came from a few key players Morrisville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Khamai Orange, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Karter Shaheed-Freeman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Delaware County Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

Delaware County Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Morrisville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Morrisville took a serious blow against Delaware County Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 78-41. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Morrisville was down 51-19.
