Baseball Recap: Tecumseh Has No Trouble Against Seminole

Tecumseh had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Seminole on Monday. The Savages blew past the Chieftains 8-0. That's more bragging rights for the Savages, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not much got past Elias Hasler, who gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Seminole off the board. Hasler also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tecumseh is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-10 otherwise.

At the plate, Caleb Sparks was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kadyn Prado, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Tecumseh's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 7-10. As for Seminole, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Tecumseh will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chieftains: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
