Edinburg North's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Economedes Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Edinburg North walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Kelley Molina and Alexis Cordle, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Itati Ramirez and her 22 assists. Finally, Cordle was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Edinburg North has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Economedes, they moved to 7-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Edinburg North will challenge rival Weslaco at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Economedes is set to take on their familiar foe Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
