Football Recap: Rocky River Piles Up the Points Against North Olmsted

Rocky River barely beat North Olmsted the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates breezed past the Eagles to the tune of 35-0 on Friday. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 26 points or more this season.

Rocky River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jeff Maslar and Michael Bebie. Bebie also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win was the fourth in a row for Rocky River, bringing their record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.8 points on average over those games. As for North Olmsted, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rocky River will venture away from home to square off against Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates are facing the Demons at the right time seeing as the Demons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Olmsted, they will head out to challenge Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
