Baseball Recap: Montague Extends Winning Streak to Four

Montague never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fremont Packers by a score of 4-0. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly four runs.

Not much got past Eli Petersen, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep Fremont off the board. Petersen has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cooper Bradley was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those runs were his first of the season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Montague, bringing their record up to 4-4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fremont, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Montague will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Packers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
