Volleyball Recap: Estacado Victorious

Estacado won the last time they faced Tahoka and things went their way on Saturday too. The Matadors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Matadors have posted since September 17, 2024.

Da?ali Perez was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs. Those 12 digs gave her a new career-high. Laterrian Hastings also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

With the win, Estacado broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Tahoka, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Estacado has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Abernathy on the 16th. As for Tahoka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Wellman-Union on the 19th.
