Basketball Recap: Charter Oak Takes a Loss

Charter Oak won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They lost 72-49 to the Rowland Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1130th, while the Raiders are ranked 505th).

Charter Oak has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Rowland, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-8.

Charter Oak has already played their next game, a 60-54 defeat against Covina on the 3rd. As for Rowland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-38 victory against West Covina on the 3rd.
