Volleyball Recap: Euclid Comes Up Short

Euclid was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs, falling 3-0.

While Euclid had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Luke Hoskinson, who had 12 digs and three assists. He has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times he's played.

Euclid's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Euclid will face off against rival Howland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Stow-Munroe Falls is set to challenge their familiar foe Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
