Basketball Recap: Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans vs. Legacy Academy
Veritas Collegiate Academy kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Legacy Academy.
Leading Legacy Academy to victory were Brandon Hill and Anderson Allen. Hill went 8 for 13 en route to 18 points plus two steals, while Allen went 6 for 11 en route to 14 points plus six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was John Jackson, who scored six points in addition to seven rebounds and two steals.
The win got Legacy Academy back to even at 1-1.
Veritas Collegiate Academy will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against New Hope Academy Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Legacy Academy, they will head out to challenge Shining Star Sports Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Shining Star Sports Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.5 points per game this season.
