Andover had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Maize South Mavericks with a sharp 7-1 victory. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Andover's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-11. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Maize South, they moved to 15-9-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Andover nor the Mavericks have any future games scheduled.
